Riese RoseI am a counselor, ecosystems thinker, mentor, forager, animist, wildcrafter, soul-activist, and someone who is guided primarily through this world by my heart. The work I do with clients stems from my own embodied journey through a process of healing and wholing. Over the last 9 years, I've been working therapeutically to help people re-member their inherent wisdom and to find a sense of empowerment in their unique identities and experiences.
The tools that I utilize in sessions are ones that I have personally found helpful. I will never ask you to try something that I myself haven't or would not be willing to try. Everything is invitational. I like to make therapy a unique, collaborative, and consent-oriented process where we explore what resonates and what doesn't. In relationships is where so much of our wounding occurs, and I believe that it is also where the most authentic healing happens. That said, I show up to sessions as my real, genuine, accessible self. Much of my work is held by the natural world, though I also believe that the healing powers of nature can be accessed indoors as well. Whether in the wilderness or a city, the human-nature relationship can reduce feelings of isolation, nervous system dysregulation, depression, and anxiety. I also work to support clients in getting to the heart of the matter, developing self-regulation skills, setting boundaries, healing attachment wounds, finding a sense of empowerment, and cultivating healthy relationships. My GratitudeDeep gratitude to the mountains and high desert that hold me, the rivers that guide me, and soil that feeds me. Thank you to my teachers for all that you inspire in me; Christiane Pelmas, Katie Asmus, Francis Weller, Bell Hooks, Bill Plotkin, Ponderosa, Juniper, mycelium, bear, Gentian, Osha root, elk, butterfly, trout, clay, chickadee and my loving and wise, earth-honoring ancestors.
